Insurance Blogging Reality Check

Writing Posts That Please

Let’s take a look at a couple of sample posts about teen drivers and auto insurance:

Teen Drivers

Teen drivers seem to be reckless drivers and as a result insurance rates are high. Most companies won’t even write a teenager and those who do seem to think they have executive jobs and can pay the high premiums.

Teen Drivers & Auto Insurance Rates

Auto insurance rates for most teenage drivers have gone through the roof. Insurance company statistics show that teen drivers are not responsible drivers and therefore insurance rates are high due to the increased insurance risk.

These two Posts say the same thing, basically, but to the search engines, they are world’s apart.

You will notice that in “Post #1″ the main topic “Auto Insurance” is not included. Also, the keyword “insurance” is only used 1 time.

By contrast, “Post #2″ includes the main topic “Auto Insurance” in the Post’s Title. Also, the keyword “insurance” is used 4 times in the article.

“Post #2″ will out run “Post #1″ in the search engines for search terms like - “teens auto insurance”, “auto insurance”, “auto insurance teens”, etc.
