Tell The World About Your Blog

The computer guys and gals call this Search Engine Optimization or SEO, but “tell the world” is a lot easier for me, since I’m not really a computer guy. We will look at some ways you can promote your insurance blog, but right now there is probably nothing to promote. Search engines and blog directories do not like blogs “under construction”, so let’s focus on 2 blog posts in 4 blog categories.

Promoting Your Insurance Blog

Obviously if no one can find your insurance blog, it won’t be very popular, will it?

There are a lot of ways to “tell the world” about your insurance blog and we will touch on just a few of them.

  • Search Engines
    There are many web sites that advertise - “We Will Submit Your Web Site to 40,000 Search Engines - Only $19.95″. Please don’t bite on that hook. First of all, there aren’t 40,000 search engines and secondly, you don’t have to submit your insurance blog for it to be picked up by the major search engines. If it is there, the search engine crawlers will see it.
    There is one blog search engine that I would suggest you submit your insurance blog to:

  • Blog Directories
    There are many blog directories where you can submit your insurance blog, usually by blog category. You will need to spend some time here because most of them will require that you create an account and log-in to submit your insurance blog. Also, you really need to take some time to look around and see what types of blogs are in a particular directory. There are many directories where you probably will not want to be. Here are some blog directories you might want to visit:
