Developing and designing a professional insurance blog won’t come by accident. If you type “insurance blog” in the Google search box, you will find that there are thousands of blogs about the subject of insurance. Some of these insurance blogs are professionally designed and are enjoyable to read, while others seem to have been designed as an afterthought. Let’s take a look at some of the factors which determine whether or not your insurance blog is “good”.

Insurance Blogging Reality Check

“Good” Insurance Blog By Design

URL or Blog Title

Search engines just don’t like URLs that are too long and most people can’t read them at a glance. Since our blogs are about the topic of “insurance” - the keyword “insurance” should be a part of our blog’s URL or Title.

Quality Blog Description

Again the keyword “insurance” should be a part of our insurance blog’s description. Our description is picked up by the search engines and tells the crawlers what our blog is about. This description must be brief (8-10 words) and must be properly designed.

Fresh Quality Content

There are those who start a blog, post to it for a couple of days, and then just leave it for the “spammers” to devour.
There is no set time frame as to how often we should post to our insurance blogs, that’s strictly up to the blog owner. But whatever schedule you make, whether it be daily, weekly, bi-weekly or whatever, stick to that schedule and post to your insurance blog when you are supposed to post.
Blog content should be rich in keywords arranged naturally not to the point of being ridiculous.
When writing your insurance blog’s content, you have to keep in mind - What will they type into that search box when they are really looking for my blog?

Quality Links

Obviously we want to submit our insurance blogs to the major blog directories and search engines, but we also, over time, want to develop quality links to other related blogs. This can be done by exchanging links with a blog you like, simply by sending the blog owner an e-mail requesting a link exchange. Please stay away from “link farms” because you don’t want your insurance blog associated with other blogs in a “bad neighborhood”.

Term life insurance is simply, as the name implies, life insurance designed to remain in effect for a certain period of time or “term”.

Home Business-What Kind of Insurance?
Many people who start a business out of their home live with the misconception that their home business is insured under their homeowner’s insurance policy.
