More Ads - More Clicks - More Money

It is very important to understand that an insurance blog or a traditional web site must be “visible” to the internet community.

Let’s face it, there are hundreds of thousands of web sites on the internet, but only 10-12 make it to the first page of Google. Why is that?

Yes, it’s true some web site owners “buy” their way to the top, but you really don’t have to spend a dime to get on the first or second page.

It boils down to this:

  • Is your insurance blog designed to be attractive to the search engines?
  • Is your insurance blog’s content useful to the general public?
  • Is your insurance blog’s content “keyword” rich and is there a large “quantity” of information available?
(See “What Makes A Good Insurance Blog - “Good”)
  • Have you spent the time to take advantage of all the free advertisement for your insurance blog?
    (See “Promoting Your Insurance Blog”)

OK, about the Ads:

A lot of people make the mistake of not taking advantage of all the different ad types available, like:

  • “Content” Ads
  • “Search” Boxes
  • “Link” Boxes

It is important to understand Google’s rules about ad placement, which can be found in your AdSense account, but generally, every single page of your insurance blog can have - (3) “Content” ads; (3) “Link” boxes and (3) “Search” boxes. Each page of your insurance blog can have a minimum of “9″ Adsense ads. So, if we do the math, a 50 page insurance blog can display “450″ ads, a 100 page blog can display “900″ ads.
(There are also “Video” and “Mobile” ads available.)
